It was subsequently fitted with a replacement tubular chassis from Spyder Cars as part of a multi-year refurbishment that also involved a repaint, an interior re-trim, an engine reseal, and rebuilds of the transmission and rear end. Finished in Rosso Scuderia with a black soft top, the car features retractable headlights as well as adjustable coilovers and rides on 13″ four-spoke alloy wheels secured with three-ear knockoffs. Inside, London Tan leather–trimmed bucket seats are accompanied by a burled walnut dash and a Nakamichi stereo. The twin-cam 1.6L inline-four is fitted with dual Stromberg carburetors as well as a stainless-steel exhaust header, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission.
