This 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce was built into a race car more than three decades ago and was driven regularly in SCCA, HMSA, CSRG, and other vintage racing competitions along the West Coast between 1993 and 2010. the 1.6L inline-four and five-speed manual transmission were rebuilt, dual Weber 45 DCOE 152 carburetors were installed, and safety systems were updated. Since then, the car has participated in various events at Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway with ongoing support from Intrepid. Chassis upgrades include a tubular rear crossmember, a Panhard rod, Koni Sport adjustable shocks, and Alfaholics 15” wheels, while the race-prepped cabin features a roll cage, a Sparco racing seat, a MOMO steering wheel, Stewart-Warner supplementary gauges, and a FireSense fire-suppression system.
