The car was disassembled and repainted, the engine, transmission, and rear differential were rebuilt, and the suspension, steering, and brakes were overhauled. Additional work included replacing the tail lamp assemblies, floor pans, trunk lid, trunk badge, and trunk handle, refurbishing headlamps, grille, and Hella driving lamps, re-plating or replacing trim and moldings, and installing reproduction bumpers, and replacing the weatherstripping.  The 2.2-liter M127 inline-six was and its Bosch mechanical fuel injection system were built in 2009, as were the distributor and radiator. The valve cover and intake manifold were treated with POR 15, and the coolant hoses, drive belts, engine mounts, wiring harnesses, and ignition leads were also replaced at that time.
