Work over the next year included the installation of a FAT Performance-built 2.2L Type 4 flat-four equipped with dual Weber carburetors along with a rebuild of the 741 four-speed manual transaxle. Four-wheel disc brakes with a dual-circuit master cylinder and 15″ Hot Rod by Boyd wheels were also installed along with a custom dual-outlet exhaust system. The car received a bare metal repaint in its factory shade of Polyantha Red following the completion of bodywork, and the interior was reupholstered and fitted with GT-style seats, a Nardi steering wheel, and reconditioned gauges. Work since 2024 has included adjusting the valves, replacing ignition components, and performing leak-down and compression tests.
