This 1942 Packard Super Eight One-Eighty is one of a believed three examples built with Rollson All-Weather Town Car bodywork for the truncated final model year of Super Eight production. Finished in maroon, the car is powered by a 356ci L-head inline-eight that breathes through a single downdraft carburetor and is mated to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Additional features include hydraulic drum brakes, Safe-T-fleX independent front suspension, 16” wheels, dual side-mount spares, turn signals, a removable front roof panel, a central partition window, black leather upholstery in the chauffeur’s compartment, beige cloth passenger-compartment trim, fold-out jump seats, power windows, front and rear radios, and an intercom system.
