This 1956 Ford F-100 pickup was purchased by the previous owner in 1999, and the subsequent custom build involved shaving the body and doors, installing a smoothed tailgate with hidden latches, and modifying the hood to pivot on forward hinges before it was painted red. The chassis features a Mustang II-style front suspension assembly, power rack-and-pinion steering, rear lowering blocks, and front disc brakes, and the rear wheel tubs were extended inward to accommodate 31×18.5″ Hoosier tires. Power is provided by a Chevrolet 396ci V8 linked to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 9″ rear end. Inside the cab, the bench seat and door panels are trimmed in gray with flame-motif accents, and aftermarket air conditioning is accompanied by a tilting billet steering wheel, a B&M shifter, and AutoMeter gauges
